DESCRIPTION: EPW - Rode, Swiss, 51mm, heavy 18K gold Dennison Watch Case Co. demi-HC recase bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1926, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-SS, lever escapement, fishscale pattern nickel damascene, s#72482. Gross weight of assembled watch 72.9 dwt (113.3 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fair cosmetic mvt condition overall, barrel bridge with micro-fine scratch striations from evident past polishing which has eliminated damascened finish from right half of barrel bridge, plates additionally with some scratches and fine scratches; nearly flawless dial with mild semi-circular mark of hand rub within seconds-register from seconds-hand tail; excellent hands, some oxide and finish loss to minute swell and tip; case shows very little wear, scratches to rear, dent to lower-right rear shoulder, scattered lesser dings elsewhere to rear, demi-chapter enameling is fully intact; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystals.
